MAINTENANCE TIPS

Preventative maintenance is your cars insurance policy to minimize the quantity and severity of repairs. Below we give you a few tips to keep your car in good condition.

Your cars condition relates to your safety. There are some simple low cost things that you can do to provide you and your passengers the highest level of security when riding in your car.

Windshield Wipers
• Should be inspected regularly and especially during and just after the winter season. Check for dry-rot, cracking, tears and overall condition of the rubber.

Brakes
• Brake response felt by the driver and noise coming from the wheels are sometimes the first sign of a problem with your brakes. Worn brakes greatly increase your stopping distance and reduce the stability of stopping your vehicle.

Fluids
• Vehicle fluids should be checked monthly. Oil, coolants and brake fluids
are easy to check and your vehicle manuals will provide details on how to
do the inspection.

Battery
• Do a visual inspection of the condition of the battery, battery
posts and cables. Check for corrosion and cracking.

Belts
• Inspect belts for cracks and damage.
